As with most things in life, eventualy you want MORE! At RxMotors, we love going fast and for that very reason, making cars go faster is one of our favorite jobs! We've done single turbo conversions on Twin Turbo Rx7's, Tripple Rotor conversions, Microtech/Apexi ECU installation and tuning, massive porting, Series winning track cars, drag cars, all sorts. Everytime we take on a new project, it's more adventurous than the last. We'll keep up dating this page as we get our hands on pictures of previous super car conversions.
The Impey Machine
Chris smashed another 0.3 seconds off his personal best to run a 9.61 second standing quarter mile. He crossed the line at 147mph. It seems there's no stopping him. The car has lost a few kilos since last time out, and had a new compressor wheel fitted to the turbo. Shakespear County Raceway was the venue this weekend, with a cool breeze and looming clouds, the track was far from ideal. Despite trying all sorts of tricks to keep the sixty foot time down, Chris nailed a 9k rpm launch and wheel span all the way to second gear. Brute force was the only thing left to try. The new Chromoly driveshafts held up to the abuse as did the new gear oil we're using. 2008 looks like a mad year for all Jap Drag contenders with the HKS Drag Series hotting up and talk of trick gearboxes and bigger ports.

Tim's Drag Car
Best 1/4 mile to date is 10.9 seconds and best terminal is 136mph. After a season fighting with the back end of the car, eventualy Tim decided to cut it all out and fit a Competition Engineering 4 Link set up with a pair of Strange Engineering Coilovers. On it's first day out at Rotorstock 4 Tim managed a very respectable 11.5 on low boost, the fastest he's ever gone on a bar. After a few more runs, it was clear to see the rotors had touched the plates again. After a strip down it was obvious what damage the 11,500 rpm was doing and despite our efforts to keep the gears in the rotors, something wasn't right. A new pair of rotors were found in the now depleating stock and weighed, clearanced and fixed. Hopefully we'll be able to get the motor together for a few more runs this year, but it's looking more and more like a 13B might find it's way in there.
