In July this year the RX Motors/Chris impey RX7 achieved a stunning 8.4 second 1/4 mile at 165mph,then backed it up with another 8.4 second run.
This was on a test day,and no one videoed it.
Below is a video where he managed a 8.7 second run @ 157mph
The RX Motors purple 1st gen RX7 ran low 11's all year,and won the Santa Pod HKS Academy.Finished the year with a 10.9 second run at 129.5mph.Maximum logged rpm,15,000 rpm and still in one piece!
The 2012 season will see the RX Motors tube frame 1st gen RX7 drag car out at the track running 38 psi boost with a 'Procharger'.
